Mark Dvorak, a Native Houstonian, has loved and been involved in Music since childhood. He studied Bassoon under Paul Tucci, then principal bassoonist for The Houston Symphony Orchestra, toured England & Wales with The Houston All City Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Harry Lance and went on to continue his musical studies at the University Of Houston. Mark pursued a variety of occupations before finding his niche in the retail Piano business. For over two decades he has been a Sales Consultant for several establishments in Houston. The last five years at Houston’s Authorized Steinway & Sons dealership, Forshey Piano Company, have proven to be the most rewarding. Mark has assisted in the placement of many of the world’s finest instruments in many of Houston’s finest homes, churches and other institutions. It was in this capacity that Mark met and befriended Robert Avalon who asked him to become a board member of The Foundation for Modern Music. Through this affiliation, Mark has had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful musicians and those who support them. Over the years Mark has assisted with The Foundation’s piano needs. Home Concerts, which were a favorite venue for Robert Avalon, is an area which Mark hopes to focus on and further develop.
